Global Lounge, a place for international exchange activities
The Global Lounge is located in the Research Quadrangles 127. The Global Lounge is a place where international and Japanese students can deepen their understanding of each other's cultures, improve their language skills, and expand their friendships.
In the Global Lounge, students take the initiative in various activities.
<Main Activities>
◆EEE-Chat (Elective English Evening-Chat) Let's talk in English casually!
This is held every Monday. This is an activity to enjoy casual conversation in simple English for a topic of the day. It is a great opportunity to further expand your friendships with people from a different school year. Once a month, our faculty member joins and we enjoy the conversation together with you. If you are interested in English, please feel free to join us. It is an excellent chance for you to improve your communication skills. The Student Assistants (SA) of the Global Lounge will chat with you.

◆JJJ-Chat (Joyful Japanese Journey-Chat) Let's talk in easy Japanese!
This is an activity to enjoy conversation in Japanese about familiar topics such as your favorite games, music, recommended foods and places, etc. It is held every Wednesday. Please feel free to join us if you want to talk in Japanese, learn about Japan, or talk with foreign students. Conversations transcend grade levels and countries, so you can broaden your exchange with others. If you are interested in Japanese language or want to communicate with international students, please feel free to join us. SAs (Student Assistants) from the Global Lounge and Japanese language tutors will chat with you.

◆International Talk
Our international students will introduce the history, culture, food, etc. of their own countries. Through the international talks, you will be able to learn about the history, culture, and food of various countries and deepen your understanding of different cultures. In addition, a special edition of the program includes a piano concert by a professor and an international talk by students from Germany to promote exchange with overseas partner schools. Currently, the program is held every month via Zoom, and you can easily participate. (except for the spring, summer, and winter breaks)
